Map users this month spotted that Bing Maps had relocated the Australian city of Melbourne to the Pacific Ocean, just off the east coast of Japan. Someone had missed a minus sign off the coordinates which placed the city in the wrong hemisphere. Microsoft blamed the error on inaccurate data in Wikipedia. Repeat after me,... do not use Wikipedia to do your homework.

Last month I mentioned that Pokemon Go was possibly the first computer game which required the players to get into that big wild world out there in order to play it. Perhaps I was premature in reaching that conclusion.

Audi is introducing technology which will allow cars to talk to traffic lights. The technology is known within the industry as Vehicle To Infrastructure (VTI) and the hope is that future driving with VTI will be safer and less stressful.

Have you ever seen the Northern Lights? At the start of this week, AuroraWatch UK sent out an email alert to its members that the Aurora Borealis would be visible across the UK that evening. Four hours later it sent out another email saying unfortunately the prediction was incorrect.
