In 1968, long before the web and digital cameras, Andy Warhol famously said that in the future, everyone will enjoy fifteen minutes of fame. 42 years into that future, research by Google Books division has concluded that as the years go by, the trend is for more people become famous, but for shorter periods of time. Perhaps Warhol was more prophetic than we thought.
