Pubworld is a major web site packed full of features, information, interactivity and fun. A Virtual Bar allows visitors to send 'Electronic Beer' and an accompanying message to their friends. Unlike most of the electronic postcard sites which simply display a static image when the recipient collects the postcard, Pubworld has an extra twist -- an animation simulates drinking the beer. The Virtual Bar had over 10,000 visitors in its first six months of operation. Pub Search includes an online database of over 10,000 pubs in the UK and a fast search routine to let visitors look for pubs in particular areas. Other features include a directory of suppliers to the pub trade, everything from advertising ashtrays, to automated bottle washers, and a message board section where visitors can post online comments, or swap ideas and information.
