Positive Action AwardsThe Positive Action Awards is organised by the Warrington Disability Partnership and supported by the North West Development Agency, to recognise the work of individuals, businesses and service providers in promoting independence, delivering accessible and inclusive services, and maintaining exemplary employment practices for disabled people and carers. The work on the site had to be timed to coincide with the schedule of the awards and the surrounding publicity. Notices, nomination forms, etc had to be online at the right time, as did the posting of the results.
Whilst we always believe in building highly-accessible sites, it was clear that this site would come under significant scrutiny. We built a site which was highly accessible and yet kept to the vibrant colours and design theme of the awards branding, and which looked really great in a graphical browser and just as functional in other media.
