In its annual PR exercise, Oxford Dictionaries has named its Word Of The Year 2015,... and its an emoji. No, not the word "emoji", but an actual individual emoji, the one known as "face with tears of joy". Guess they couldn't find one that meant "desperately trying to look cool and trendy".

Lincoln MP, Karl McCartney has come under fire from his local newspaper, The Lincolnshire Echo, which revealed that he had asked the Parliamentary IT services to spell his name correctly.
