2010 is a year of notable events. If you are a sports fan you are probably thinking Winter Olympics and Football World Cup. If you are more interested in politics and public affairs you are no doubt thinking of general elections. Only the seriously geeky will be thinking of 2010 as the year for finalising the HTML5 proposals.

Election Fever
With a General Election looming but as yet unannounced, we already seem to be in the grips of "election fever" as far as some news stations are concerned. Whenever it comes, it will be interesting to see how the various campaigns use or abuse communications technology.
