Version 1.0 of Windows was released on the 20th November 1985 and recently celebrated its 25th birthday. December will mark the 20th anniversary of that pivotal moment when Tim Berners Lee created the first web page at Cern in 1990. Both Windows and the web have matured a great deal since then. Here in 2010, the Royal news which surely no-one could have missed this month is that the Queen now has a Facebook page. Unfortunately, one is not allowed to poke Her Majesty.
